Hackney Wellness is a community-driven wellness club bringing people together through movement, connection, and shared experiences in East London.
Founded by yoga teacher Chloe Hutchings, Hackney Wellness was created to make wellbeing feel accessible, social, and enjoyable. We believe wellness is about more than exercise — it's about building meaningful connections, spending time outdoors, and creating moments that help us feel healthier, happier, and more balanced.

About the founder - Chloe's Story

Hi I'm Chloe,
When I moved to Hackney, I quickly fell in love with the area. From the beautiful green spaces and independent businesses to the incredible sense of community, there was something special about East London that immediately felt like home.
As I settled into the area, I noticed a growing appetite for wellness, connection, and meaningful experiences, but also a gap for accessible outdoor activities that brought people together beyond traditional fitness classes and run clubs.
Like many people moving to London or starting a new chapter of life, I also realised how difficult it can be to meet new people and build genuine friendships as an adult. While there are countless ways to stay busy, there are far fewer opportunities to slow down, connect, and become part of a community. I wanted to create a space where people could do exactly that.
That's where Hackney Wellness was born.
My vision is simple:
'to create a welcoming community where people can move their bodies, meet new friends, and prioritise their wellbeing in a relaxed and supportive environment. Through outdoor yoga, wellness walks, coffee meet-ups, and community events, Hackney Wellness exists to help people feel healthier, happier, and more connected.'
Outdoor yoga holds a special place in my heart. There is something incredibly grounding about practising beneath open skies, surrounded by nature, fresh air, and the changing seasons. It offers a chance to step away from busy schedules, disconnect from screens, and reconnect with yourself.
I believe wellness should feel accessible, enjoyable, and inclusive — not intimidating or exclusive.
I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga and a Level 2 Award in Mental Health Awareness and Support, recognised by CIMSPA (The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity).
I have taught at David Lloyd Clubs, built thriving class communities, and hosted wellness and mindfulness workshops enjoyed by hundreds of participants.
Above all, my goal is to create spaces where people feel welcome, supported, and part of something bigger.
Whether you're joining your first yoga class, looking to meet like-minded people, or simply seeking a moment of calm in a busy city, I'd love to welcome you to the Hackney Wellness community.
Move. Breathe. Connect.
